i grew up in a world of women presided over by my grand very grand mother. Under the influence of a young woman from the Carmel of Limoges, I embraced a mystical form of Catholicism and for a time thought to enter the orders. However, i left for Paris where i studied first at the Lycée Henri-IV, and then at the Sorbonne where i began to write. and became a professor in a school at Passy. As a very young man, discovered my homosexual feelings which provoked great guilt as offensive to God. Still, my feelings of shame did not prevent me from engaging in numerous homosexual acts and my whole life alternated between a celebration of the male body and mortification of sexuality. during a mystical crisis, i burned my manuscripts and attempted suicide. Once the crisis had passed,i turned again to writing and created various MANIFESTO\'s which brought me my first literary successes.
